Many people search the internet or contact a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist to inquire as to whether or not they are a porn/sex addict. Below you will find a questionnaire (the SAST) that will help you determine how likely it is that you have a porn/sex addiction. The SAST is not a definitive diagnostic tool, rather, it is a questionnaire that is meant to help you determine if you need further assistance from a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist to determine whether a Sexual Addiction is present.
Some men or women look at porn and do not become addicted. However, if any of the following are present, your porn use may be an addiction:
- Is your porn viewing compulsive? This means you feel “compelled” to look at it even when you have told yourself you aren’t going to look at it anymore.
- Have you tried to stop looking at porn and you have been unable to stop?
- Have you experienced relationship problems or problems at work due to porn viewing?
I currently do not take insurance. However, my services can be billed as an “Out of Network Provider” to most insurance companies. Clients can call their insurance provider and ask what their Out of Network Provider reimbursement rate is. I will provide a “Super Bill” to you that you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement.
